Hi, I'm Jessica,

but you can call me Jess or Jessy—whatever feels right! I'm originally from Germany.

What Type of Yoga Do I Teach?

At The EMPWR, I teach Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. My classes are all about finding balance between gentle yet strong flows, and tapping into the Yin energy to connect deeper with yourself.

I’ve been practicing yoga since 2015 and started teaching in 2020.

Initially, I took teacher training to deepen my own practice and learn more about yoga philosophy. But during my 200-hour training with Meghan Currie in Bali, the magic and healing I experienced convinced me that I had to share this gift with others—and I love sharing from the heart.

What Can You Expect from My Classes?

My classes are intentional, balancing gentle strength with creativity, often weaving in poetry to help you connect with your body and inner light. I like to set a theme that carries us through the session and play with both Yang and Yin energies—especially in Vinyasa, where I hold space for you to drop in after powerful flows.

Each class is designed to inspire self-awareness and inner peace, leaving you feeling more connected to your true self.

What Do I Love About Teaching Yoga?

Teaching yoga enriches my own growth! I get to deepen my understanding of the practice while helping others connect to their body, mind, and soul. It’s such a joy to witness the transformation in my students as they tap into their true selves.

Personal Achievements and Milestones

I’m thankful that yoga found me. It’s a practice that continues to shape my life.

Hobbies and Interests Outside of Yoga

I love to travel - but I'm more of a slow (or mindful) traveller who likes to stay in one place for at least a week or two to explore it at a slow pace. I love how discovering new places and cultures, and meeting different people with their unique stories, broadens my horizons and increases my empathy and gratitude. I like to say that traveling is like a university for life, just like yoga.

Next to traveling I like to do all kind of sport and activities.

Fun Fact

I unconsciously change proverbs in the smallest of ways. I always say them very confidently and the other person suddenly finds it funny. It's nice to make people laugh. So far only in German, so you might not notice it right away.

What I Enjoy About The EMPWR Community

I love how everyone is open and curious to connect to one another and theirselves on a deeper level. It’s becoming a second home.

Favorite Yoga Quote

One of my favorite mantras is: “Even if I don’t know how…” It’s something I use when I’m facing a challenge that feels out of reach, like “Even if I don’t know how, I let go of that pain in my chest,” or “Even if I don’t know how, I will find my dream job.”

Even if I don't know how...
